How to Do Multiple Rounds of the Diet
Posted by
on
For a lot
of our customers, their first round of the diet is the first of a few rounds
that they’ll need to reach their goal weight. But what some people don’t
realize is that there are guidelines for doing multiple rounds successfully to
maximize your overall weight loss.
The biggest mistake that we see our customers making between rounds of the diet, is skipping over the Maintenance Phase or Phase 3. Phase 3 is so important for maintaining your weight loss. You must follow the full 6 weeks of Phase 3 to lock in your new weight. It may seem tempting do a couple of weeks of maintenance and then get back to the Very Low-Calorie Phase, but you need your weight to stabilize before you can move on to another round. Skipping the Maintenance Phase between rounds can result in less weight loss in future rounds or even difficulty stabilizing your weight. So, between your first round and your second round, Dr. Simeons said to do 6 weeks of maintenance where you slowly add sugars and carbs back into your diet. For round 3, you’ll need to do wait an additional two weeks for a total of 8 weeks. Every additional round will add another two weeks to the Maintenance Phase. So, for round 4 you’ll wait 10 weeks, etc.
If you do it right, you’ll lose at your best and, in the long run, will need fewer rounds to reach your goal weight.
Good luck!
